08.08.08

8.8.08 really was a lucky day for Kelsey and Jon. It was drizzly in the morning, but sunny by picture time and …who cared after that, the reception was at the Hilton! Rain or shine though, there was no way I wouldn't have come away with some good pictures because they're such a cute couple!

I have to say, Kelsey couldn't have been more radiant. She spent the morning getting ready at her parent's home. Very composed, but as the moment drew near she wavered between laughter and tears.

The details on the dress were gorgeous…
And the rings…
Special notes…
A little overwhelmed that the dress is really on, she takes a deep breath…
The boys on the other hand were rather relaxed back at home. Or just tired from the rehearsal night festivities. Jon gave each groomsman an engraved silver beer stein. They brought them with to the reception.

Last minute touches for the groom.
Another deep breath, this time for Dad too.
Right after the ceremony there was a brief moment alone…an unposed moment of happiness.

One of my favorites as they catch each other's eye.
I've always thought that the St. Luke's Episcopal Church in St.Albans was one of my favorites architecturally. It has such unique stone and those red doors are perfect.

So, I was well aware that this was going to be a fun crew. Since I went to high school with the groom's brother Joe and his wife Meaghan, I had an idea of what lay ahead for the reception!

First dance.
Kelsey and the girls spent some time practicing their line dance leading up to the wedding so they gave the crowd a mini-performance that night.
Even the flower girl, Anna, danced into the night!

And one of my new favorite favorites! Congratulations Kelsey and Jon!
